Hotel Map Featured Speaker: Michael Linver, M.D., FACR
Dr. Linver is a busy lecturer on mammography, having presented over 400 talks throughout the world. He is the author of over 40 published articles and chapters of textbooks on mammography, and a strong political proponent of quality mammography. Toward this end, he served on the original National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee to the FDA under MQSA from 1994 to 1997.
He is vice president of the National Consortium of Breast Centers, past president of the New Mexico chapters of both the American College of Radiology and the American Cancer Society, and was a long-standing member of the A.C.R. BI-RADS Committee.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, and was recently elected a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging, the first ever to receive this honor in the entire Mountain West.
Featured Speaker: Stamatia Destounis, M.D.
Dr. Destounis is the managing partner of Elizabeth Wende Breast Care, LLC. She is a member of the American Cancer Society Medical Advisory Team. She sits on medical advisory boards for several breast imaging technology companies.
Dr. Destounis frequently lectures to professional groups, both nationally and internationally, on a variety of radiological subjects related to mammography and has been teaching Resident Board Reviews since 1994.
Dr. Destounis has many research interests including computer aided detection, digital mammography, breast MRI, and breast ultrasound; and she is the principal investigator of several current research projects.

8:30–9:15: Michael Linver, M.D. – Will review regulatory/economic trends and the USPSTF report and how these factors will affect the future of women’s imaging over the next five years. Includes Q&A.
9:15-10:00: Stamatia Destounis, M.D. – Will review the critical importance of workflow and data management as a result of these trends and how EWBC is meeting these challenges today and in the future. Includes Q&A.
10:00-10:30: Dan Springer, Sectra BI-PACS Product Specialist – Will review the advantages of a single, multi-modality breast specific PACS and how Sectra handles workflow automation, reading productivity, and integration with modalities, existing systems and storage. Includes Q&A.
10:30-11:30: Speaker one-on-one discussions; Sectra Breast PACS workflow demonstrations
